The Dining Room or Parlour
This is the Dining Room or Parlour. This room is decorated in a rose red colour with print-room patterns.
There are built-in book cases on either side of the fireplace, which itself has a Georgian firegrate.
The Chippendale cabinet at the back of the room houses the expensive china and spare table linen,
cutlery and glassware. The dining table is covered with a hand-decorated table cloth, and the table
is currently being cleared ready for the gentlemen to take their brandy. When not in use as the
dining room, this would have been a parlour for everyday use.
